Cogent Communications is a leading provider of high-speed internet access and Ethernet transport services. As a facilities-based, all-optical IP network backbone provider, Cogent offers a vast network of over 219 markets globally.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities within national and regional sales territories, working directly with leading IT decision-makers to provide current and future connectivity solutions. This includes consultative and relationship-building selling techniques to position Cogent's services for new business.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in direct hunting, B2B sales, and quota achievement. They must be able to demonstrate their ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business through extensive prospecting and research. A minimum of 4-8 years of solid B2B sales experience in the telecom arena is required, with a track record of success and recent experience in collocation and wholesale experience. A college degree is preferred but not required, as is professional knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
