Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Expert Financial Consultant to join our team at ABN AMRO Bank, specializing in Deepsea Shipping. As a key member of our international lending team in Amsterdam, you will play a crucial role in managing the portfolio of Deepsea Shipping client-related lending transactions across Europe.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Work closely with senior lenders to manage the portfolio of Deepsea Shipping client-related lending transactions
  • Collaborate with Client Service Teams (CST) to tackle client questions and develop commercial propositions
  • Originate and execute deals, including pitching to clients, writing credit applications, structuring transactions, reviewing and negotiating credit documentation
  • Contribute to internal projects within the Shipping & Intermodal Lending department
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and strive for exceptional quality in your work

About You


To succeed in this role, you will require:



  • A Master's degree or comparable qualification
  • At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably in finance or a related field
  • A positive mindset, can-do attitude, and strong commercial focus on results
  • Knowledge of international credit processes, including credit application, processing, and monitoring
  • Familiarity with Deepsea Shipping markets is an asset
  • Solid Excel skills and knowledge of other relevant ICT applications
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to the Head Office in Amsterdam
  • Fluent English language proficiency

As an Expert Financial Consultant at ABN AMRO Bank, you can expect a competitive salary package, including:



  • Gross monthly salary of approximately €8,500, based on a 36-hour workweek, including vacation pay and benefit budget
  • Benefit Budget of 11% of your salary, which allows you to acquire additional employment benefits
  • Five weeks of vacation per year, with the option to purchase an additional four weeks
  • Personal development Budget of €1,000 per year, accumulative up to €3,000
