Job Description
The Junior Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for daily revenue and statistics postings, revenue recognition, reconciliations between PMS and ERP, credit control, reporting, and continuous improvement of the AR function through innovative processes and procedures.
This role involves working closely with the Accounting Team, Senior Management, General Managers, and Operational departments to produce informative and transparent reports that showcase critical thinking and enable effective decision-making.
You will work collaboratively with accounts payable and other accounting staff to ensure accuracy in finances and receipts. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Local GAAP and USALI Framework knowledge: A solid understanding of local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the Uniform System of Accounts for Lodging (USALI) framework is essential for this role.
- Account management: You will need to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage accounts effectively.
- Cash handling and tracking: Accurate cash handling and tracking are critical to this role, and you must have a keen eye for detail.
- Credit and collection policies: Familiarity with credit and collection policies and procedures is necessary to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Budgeting and cash flow: You should have a basic understanding of budgeting and cash flow management to support the accounting department.
- ERP and MS Office applications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is required, as well as a good understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
