Optiver, a tech-driven trading firm and global market maker, seeks an accomplished Data Systems Engineer Leader to spearhead the development of sophisticated data platforms from the ground up. This exciting opportunity is based in Amsterdam, where our company's journey began over 35 years ago.

This key role involves striking a perfect balance between leadership responsibilities and hands-on technical development. You will set strategic directions for major business initiatives and take ownership of the technical vision. Your role entails directly contributing to the development of cutting-edge applications and frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and refining data platforms, with expertise in programming languages such as C++, C#, C, and Python. A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills are essential for working effectively with business and technical teams to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to solve complex data challenges.
  • Mentor a vibrant team of developers, promoting a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Continually refine our frameworks to manage growing data volumes efficiently and accurately.
  • Facilitate synergy across global teams to maintain a cohesive technology strategy.
  • Lead by example in crafting scalable and efficient technological solutions.

Benefits:

As a Data Systems Engineer Leader at Optiver, you can expect a competitive salary of €120,000 - €180,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to this, you will receive a performance-based bonus structure that combines profits across desks, teams, and offices into a global profit pool.

You will also enjoy great secondary benefits, including 25 paid vacation days, fully paid first-class commuting expenses, training opportunities, discounts on health insurance, breakfast and lunch facilities, sports and leisure activities, Friday afternoon drinks, and weekly in-house chair massages.
