EHS Specialist

The EHS Specialist will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the environmental system within Sonoco Plastics B.V. This includes assisting the plant team in achieving its safety goals of zero injuries and statutory compliance, as well as supporting the quality assurance and quality control department.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe EHS Specialist will:
- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental and safety procedures.
- Investigate and report all environmental and safety incidents.
- Develop and implement an annual Environmental Action Plan and Safety Action Plan.
To be successful in this role, the EHS Specialist will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A MBO education in Environmental, Health and Safety or a related field.
- Knowledge of ISO standards 9001, 14001, 13485, and 14971.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The EHS Specialist will work in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
