About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Specialist to join our team in Hoofddorp. As a key member of our Pharmacovigilance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe use of our products by monitoring and managing safety information from various sources.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with affiliate colleagues, including Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams, to enhance understanding of PV requirements and elevate the PV internal brand.
  • Leverage your expertise to identify, manage, and escalate issues in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and AbbVie's policies.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to strengthen product safety knowledge and channels scientific safety evidence to area and affiliate stakeholders, positively impacting business strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that all business partnerships involving activities where there is a reasonable possibility for the identification and/or handling of safety information are assessed for the generation of safety information and applicable PV requirements are applied.
  • Support the Affiliate Safety Representative in ensuring the content of local SDEAs and other PV agreements conforms to AbbVie procedures and local requirements.
  • Contribute to audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and AbbVie's policies.

Requirements

  • A medical, pharmacy, or life-sciences degree (or equivalent) and at least two years' experience working in the pharmaceutical industry in a pharmacovigilance role.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English and Dutch essential.
  • Strong customer orientation, commitment to compliance, and sound judgment, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work in a hybrid model, with mandatory on-site work three days a week.
