Job Opportunity at EP92 voor Werk

We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Attorney to join our team at EP92 voor Werk. As a leading intellectual property specialist firm, we offer a fully integrated IP solution, bringing together over 200 Patent Attorneys, Trade Mark Attorneys, and IP Solicitors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide informed and accurate legal and technical advice to clients on all aspects of the patent lifecycle;
  • Analyse scientific and technical documents to assess whether an invention is new and inventive;
  • Draft patents, prepare reports for patent examiners, advise on third-party patent rights, and freedom to operate;
  • Apply for patents from the European Patent Office and Dutch patent office where applicable;
  • Deal with client queries in a professional and timely manner;
  • Construct technical arguments to prosecute patents;
  • Ensure legal deadlines are met;
  • Work efficiently to achieve targets agreed with your managing Partner;
  • Be a constructive and engaging member of the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Master's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline;
  • European Patent Attorney (EPA) qualification, preferably with strong post-qualified experience;
  • Preferably: additionally qualified as a representative for national patent office(s);
  • Previous in-house (industry) IP experience is an advantage but not required;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
  • A high level of attention to detail;
  • A team player who is comfortable working on independent tasks;
  • Ability to digest and act upon constructive feedback;
  • Attitude and aptitude to want to develop your skillset.
