Job Description:

At STAFIDE, we are seeking a highly skilled Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our backend development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex backend applications using Python, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain scalable, efficient backend applications using Python, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
  • Leverage expertise in Azure Functions, MSSQL, FastAPI, Docker, and Azure Service Bus to build innovative solutions.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services into our ecosystem.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality, reliable code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver features and solutions efficiently.
  • Use Azure pipelines or similar CI/CD tools for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Apply understanding of software design patterns, testing strategies, and architecture principles to ensure system integrity and scalability.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of applications for maximum efficiency.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.

Requirements:
  • 6-8 years of experience in backend development, with at least 5 years of hands-on Python experience.
  • Strong experience developing applications using RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure functions, MSSQL, FastAPI, Docker, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Proven experience integrating third-party APIs and writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially Azure pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns and testing methodologies.
  • Previous experience with performance tuning and system optimization.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in web development technologies and Agile methodologies.
  • Fluent in English (required).
  • Based in or willing to work in a hybrid role within The Netherlands.
