Operational Planner

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operational Planner to support our academic operations at Unknown University of Applied Sciences. As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration of technology and processes to facilitate our teaching and learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Module Planning: Develop and implement efficient module planning strategies, ensuring all modules are planned with precision and accuracy.
- Guest Speaker Arrangement: Coordinate guest speaker sessions, managing communications and logistics to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for both speakers and students.
- Hospitality and Welcome: Provide a warm and professional welcome to teachers and guest speakers, enhancing their experience and engagement with our university.
- Facility Management: Oversee lecture room planning and IT requirements, ensuring all facilities are primed for effective learning and teaching.
- Canvas Management: Responsible for uploading all content to the Canvas learning management system and serving as an onboarding and help desk for teachers, facilitating their adaptation to our digital learning environment.
- Classter System Management: Manage enrollments, create sessions, manage integrations, and support communication to ensure a smooth operational flow.
- Light Education Project Management: Manage extracurricular educational sessions (such as hackathons or non-degree courses) to ensure alignment and timely completion.
Your week at Unknown University of Applied Sciences will be diverse and engaging:
- You will start your day at 8:30 at one of our locations, Amsterdam or The Hague.
- You will ensure all classrooms are ready for the day.
- You will interact with inspiring students and welcome teaching staff.
- You will participate in daily standups with the team to discuss challenges.
- You will reach out to teaching staff to inquire about their availability and plan sessions.
- You will ensure all assignments are opened in Canvas.
- You will respond to student and staff inquiries and provide support for Classter and Canvas.
- You will reach out to new people in our network to invite them to become guest speakers.
- You will ensure the operational side of the academic process runs smoothly by sending reminders and providing How-to templates.
- Recently graduated or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Holding a HBO / Bachelor's degree, preferably in operations management or a related field.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
- Tech-savvy, willing to research and improve existing operational systems (Canvas & Classter).
- Independent, flexible, resilient, and customer-oriented.
- Strong ability in systematic and structured work.
- Enjoy working in both Amsterdam and The Hague locations.
- Able to work effectively in a team and independently, with a proactive work attitude.
- Eager to take initiative and motivated to improve work, self, and the team's environment.
