Job Summary

As an advocate for best practices, you'll develop creative approaches to reducing operational costs while improving overall data center efficiency. You'll ensure that environmental and safety standards are consistently met, identifying problems and making repairs quickly. In emergency situations or abnormal conditions, you'll manage data center performance issues and outages to minimize recovery time from failures.

This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Dutch to support client management in the region as well as communication with local stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the uptime, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage electrical system distribution. Monitor multiple information streams in the control room and make accurate mission-critical decisions.
  • Develop approaches to reduce operational costs while improving efficiencies.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain data center facilities systems and equipment, and respond to abnormal conditions. Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
  • Provide tracking and trending of operational characteristics, while also providing operational and maintenance insights into the design review process.

Requirements

  • An Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of Electrical experience (e.g., electrical testing equipment or electrical distribution) in an industrial or commercial environment.
  • Able to lift and move 50 lbs of equipment, and work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors.
  • Able to work non-standard hours and work rotations/shifts.
  • Able to speak and write in English and Dutch fluently, to support the client management in the region as well as interact with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in maintenance of electrical distribution systems or construction/technical environments, or a similar field.
  • Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems used in a data center environment (e.g., Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units).
  • Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to communicate with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data center systems.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
