Overview of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Specialist to join our team at Arrow Electronics, Inc. This role will be based in NL-Houten, Netherlands (Kromme Schaft) and will involve working on a full-time basis.

About the Job

The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for consulting, developing, and implementing technical and related sales enablement plans with partners and internal/external customers to support revenue and margin goals. This will include providing Pre-Sales Technical Support, complex sales tool configurations, and systems design to implement systems software solutions and/or products.

In addition, the Technical Sales Specialist will conduct partner and sales technical team training, assist Arrow customers and partners with technical certifications, or with product/technology demonstrations. They will also obtain training and maintain knowledge of industry standards, new technologies, and current issues.

Job Complexity
  • This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience.
  • The successful candidate will solve complex problems; take a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • They will work independently; receive minimal guidance.
  • They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • This is a senior-level role that represents the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement.
  • The Technical Sales Specialist will use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position of technical function in the IT industry.
  • A full driving license and readiness to travel are required.
  • Dutch – native/fluent and fluency in English are essential.
  • The successful candidate will have good communication and negotiation skills.
  • They will be able to build and develop strategic business relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a hardworking and proactive approach.
  • Effective communication with people at all levels.
  • Natural propensity to adopt a structured approach i.e. managing time in the office and on the road, determining who key decision makers are and the dynamics of the sales of complex projects.
  • Ability to learn product benefits and solution sales concepts including working with alliance vendors.
  • Problem-solving and capacity to follow through on a task to conclusion.
