About the Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Manager to ensure our products meet all global legislative requirements and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory affairs within the beauty or cosmetics industry, with specific expertise in navigating European regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with European cosmetics legislation and standards.
  • Conduct regulatory assessments for new product developments and existing product modifications to ensure compliance at every step.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory and legislative updates that impact our business operations and provide timely advice to management.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory submissions and notifications to authorities (e.g., CPNP notifications, PIFs).
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements, guidelines, and trends within the cosmetics industry, with a focus on Europe, to provide valuable insight for our product strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with teams such as Innovation, Quality Assurance, and external partners to provide regulatory guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and external consultants to ensure strong connections for navigating complex regulatory processes.
  • Participate in regulatory audits and inspections to uphold our commitment to the highest standards of compliance.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the beauty or cosmetics industry, with a focus on European regulations.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of EU cosmetics regulations (e.g., EU Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009), guidelines, and standards.
  • Experience preparing and submitting regulatory filings (e.g., CPNP notifications, PIFs) for cosmetics products.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and provide strategic advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Independent worker with excellent stakeholder management capability.
