Mechanical Test Specialist

At European Test Services (ETS), a joint venture between AIRBUS and IABG, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in the Netherlands. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of mechanical tests and contributing to the overall success of our company.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing acoustic, vibration, shock, and mass property tests in accordance with applicable test requirements. This includes leading and/or performing test preparation, instrumentation, and reporting any deviations or implementing corrective measures as required. Additionally, you will support facility maintenance, modifications, and upgrades, liaising with suppliers/consultants and coordinating 3rd parties on site.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform acoustic, vibration, shock, and mass property tests in accordance with applicable test requirements.
  • Lead and/or perform test preparation, including instrumentation.
  • Report any deviations and implement corrective measures as required.
  • Support facility maintenance, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Compile test and maintenance reports.
  • Cooperate with international customers and test teams in complex space programs and industrial projects.
Requirements:
  • A university degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering.
  • Coursework or training in structural analysis.
  • Experience with mechanical test and measurement systems.
  • A good knowledge of vibration and acoustic facilities used in mechanical testing.
  • Ability to perform tasks independently according to applicable processes and requirements.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
