Job OverviewWe're seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our employees, ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to succeed.
With your expertise in desktop support, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing our processes and systems, streamlining manual tasks, and improving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive desktop support to all employees, including face-to-face and remote assistance via ticketing, internal messaging, emailing, and calling.
- Collaborate with team members across the globe to resolve complex technical issues.
- Analyze repetitive tasks and implement automation techniques to improve user experience and reduce IT-related issues.
- Ensure our IT systems and functionalities are up-to-date and aligned with our evolving business needs.
- User onboarding and offboarding, including Google Suite, Zoom, OKTA, and LDAP administration.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 1-3 years of experience in desktop support, troubleshooting IT-related issues, and working with Linux/UNIX-based systems.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or Python, with practical skills in automating repetitive tasks and streamlining the end-user experience.
- Experience administering services like Google Suite, Zoom, OKTA, and LDAP.
- Familiarity with managing large fleets of MacOS corporate devices using JAMF or similar.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a good understanding of up-to-date IT security practices.
- Ability to write and maintain technical documentation.
- Experience with config management systems like Puppet, Ansible, or similar.
- Proficiency in deploying, updating, and maintaining applications on Apple end-user devices.
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
