As a Sales Trader at ACT, you will be responsible for working with clients of various sizes in different industries, each with their own set of exciting challenges. You will create, manage, and grow your own portfolio of clients, using your strong interpersonal skills and stellar communication skills to gain their trust.

You will find your own leads and through extensive cold calling, break down barriers and go the extra mile to ensure you stand out to clients.

You will also have the full support of your colleagues, each with their unique set of skills and clients, and you will work together to close deals. Through our collaborative way of working, most of our deals happen between 2 or more traders. This approach means that you, as well as our clients, will benefit from the entirety of our knowledge, experience, and network.

Who are you:

You're a young and ambitious professional with (preferably) some experience or at least an affinity with finance or sales. A cold-calling pro and charismatic portfolio manager with an entrepreneurial spirit. You are also self-motivated and keep going even when things get tough, are eager to learn, welcome constructive criticism, and are not afraid to fail and try again.

  • Fluency in German and English;
  • A bachelor's/master's graduate, preferably in Business, Economics, or Finance;
  • 1-3 years' experience in a Sales/Trading/Brokerage/Business Development role;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Willingness (and excitement) to cold call and approach new people;
  • Energy, curiosity, and ambition;
  • Accountability, responsibility, and openness to learning fast;
  • Drive to close deals and make a difference for ACT and for your clients.

Sales Traders and Consultants work in region-specific teams to create product portfolios for clients that meet their specific needs and help them drive climate action their way.

How to apply:

With ACT, you will go through 4 different stages where various skills and competences will be tested.

It starts with the phone screen when a recruiter will have a quick call with you to better present you the role, understand more about yourself, and align on the practicalities.

After that, you will receive a TMA questionnaire that allows the recruitment team to have a more complete overview of your core competencies and the way you like to work.

That will serve as a guiding point for the recruitment interview, which is a longer video call with a recruiter.

After that, you will have an interview with the hiring managers and the team that is working the role you will be applying for.

If that goes well, the final step of the process is a business case. This is a simulation of responsibilities that you will have during the role that you apply for. This involves research and preparation of a presentation that you will be presenting in the office for the team.

If all of the above steps are successful, then you will be hired.
