Your Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join our team in Amsterdam. As a key member of our machine learning team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, training, deploying, and monitoring machine learning algorithms that power our data products. You will work on a wide range of projects, from anti-money laundering systems to real-time anomaly detection, and contribute to the development of our machine learning tooling.


Key Responsibilities



  • Design, implement, train, deploy, and monitor machine learning algorithms for batch prediction and real-time applications.
  • Develop orchestrated pipelines for analytical purposes and machine learning training.
  • Contribute to ongoing automation efforts for experiments, training runs, validation runs, and monitoring.
  • Create and iterate on state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms with both merchant and product audiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the machine learning field and apply this knowledge where applicable.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you should have:



  • 8+ years of experience as a machine learning or data scientist.
  • Experience with the full machine learning model lifecycle in production flows.
  • Experience leveraging big data frameworks to create pipelines for feeding models with appropriate data.
  • A good understanding of software engineering practices, data engineering, and MLOps principles.
  • Knowledge of data science and statistics and machine learning techniques, including statistical inference, machine learning for prediction, and causal inference.
  • Familiarity with standard data science tools, such as (py)spark, SQL, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, XGBoost/LightGBM, Pandas, MLFlow, and Airflow.
  • An experimental mindset with a launch-fast-and-iterate mentality, extensive experience with designing and running experiments.
  • The ability to take the lead in projects, from ideation to deployment, and communicate complex outcomes to various audiences.

Salary


The estimated salary for this position is €120,000 - €180,000 per year, depending on experience.
