Job Description

Oceaneering is a global engineering company that pushes the boundaries of what is possible with robotics. We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for our robotics solutions, including user manuals, equipment manuals, and operating instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Utilize Adobe FrameMaker and Microsoft Office applications to create high-quality documentation.
  • Design and create illustrations using SolidWorks, Adobe Technical Communication Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Track requirements and coordinate the delivery of technical documentation.
  • Provide periodic status reports to the Engineering Lead.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Writing, or Communications.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in creating maintenance, operations, troubleshooting, and setup/tear-down procedures without source data.
  • Experience with mechanical and mechatronic systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch and excellent command of technical English.
  • Well-developed application software skills in Windows environment and in Adobe applications.
Desired Qualifications
  • German language competence.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks and SolidWorks Composer.
  • Familiarity with a CCMS.
