Foreman Production

You will work in the “Custom Batteries” department within a close-knit team, managing, coaching, and training 25 colleagues. This company started about 30 years ago and has grown into a full-service supplier focused on battery systems, batteries, chargers, and (mobile) energy systems. There's a great atmosphere where colleagues are willing to help each other and come up with good, quick solutions for clients. There's also always a Friday afternoon drink, they go on ski trips together every year, have several outings throughout the year, and enjoy celebrating successes together. The organization is growing, and that's why they are looking for a new Foreman Production.

Would you like to lead the production process as a Foreman Production in the construction of prototypes for new electrical applications? Together with your colleagues, you will develop new prototypes for battery applications for various clients. Think of custom solutions for cranes, agricultural machinery, boats, and energy storage systems. You will oversee, coach, and train a team of 25 electricians. You will monitor the planning, make adjustments, and answer (technical) questions from the team. You will report to and collaborate with the production manager. It's an international team where English is the working language, and you will work in day shifts. The demand for batteries is continuously increasing, which means you, as a Working Supervisor, will deal with various applications, making your work content-rich, diverse, and educational. Together with your team, you will ensure good, quick, and sometimes nearly impossible solutions. However, by working well together, you will achieve this as a team

What You Will Do in This Varied Role:

• You will lead a motivated team and create a safe and stimulating work environment.
• You will follow work instructions to meet strict safety and quality standards.
• You will work under the direction of and in collaboration with the production manager.
• You will coach the team, train new employees, and identify needs among staff.

As a Foreman Production, you recognize yourself in the following: 

• You have proven leadership experience within an electrical manufacturing company.
• You have basic knowledge of electrical engineering and can read electrical diagrams.
• Having extensive knowledge of electrical engineering or even batteries is a significant advantage.
• You possess strong communication skills, employ a coaching leadership style, and have an approachable demeanor.
• You are strong in planning and have an eye for detail without losing sight of the overall picture.
• You think in solutions and make improvement proposals to optimize production processes.
• You have a good command of the English language, as this is the working language.
