Als Technical Product Lead (TPL) speel je een centrale rol in de ontwikkeling van onze heavy-duty outdoor Automatisch Geleide Voertuigen. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de succesvolle uitvoering van productinitiatieven, het aansturen van technische innovaties en project specifieke verzoeken van klanten. Je hebt hierbij een sterke binding met het product omdat ontwikkeling en productie van de AGV’s op dezelfde locatie plaatsvindt. Je bent hierbij nauw betrokken van concept tot aan de integratie bij de klant. In deze functie ben je onderdeel van een groeiende engineeringafdeling met op dit moment +/- 20 enthousiaste collega’s. 

De engineeringafdeling is onderverdeeld in verschillende competentie teams: Mechanica, Elektronica, Software en Product. Samen met deze teams speel je een belangrijke rol in het werken aan nieuwe concepten en productverbeteringen van onze twee productlijnen Mixed Traffic Transport AGV en Port AGV. 

Wat ga je doen?

  • Het in nauwe samenwerking met de competentieteams definiëren en ontwikkelen van de productvisie, strategie en roadmap;
  • Het aansturen en uitvoeren van design reviews, risico analyses, FMEA’s, safety studies, logistieke studies, route simulaties;
  • Aansturen en uitwerken van nieuwe concepten op zowel voertuig niveau als ook concepten voor de totale logistieke oplossing;
  • Het ontwerp aansturen op systeemniveau, eigenaarschap en verantwoordelijkheid nemen voor de beoordeling en release van nieuwe concepten en productverbeteringen;
  • Het borgen van de kwaliteit van de geleverde engineering output;
  • Productdocumentatie leveren voor productspecificaties, handleidingen en sales support;
  • Het als onze technische verantwoordelijke onderhouden van contact met (key) suppliers en klanten.

Jouw profiel:

  • Je bent iemand die graag de mouwen opstroopt en onderdeel uitmaakt van een bedrijf dat de dynamiek en mentaliteit heeft van een start-up. Wat het interessant maakt is dat we dit samen doen met de daadkracht van de VDL Groep. Je beschikt over aantoonbare leiderschapsvaardigheden en kan op een inspirerende wijze teams motiveren om de afgesproken doelstellingen te bereiken. Je brengt daarnaast het volgende mee:
  • Je bezit over een Bachelor/ Master diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Mechatronica, Control Systems of vergelijkbaar;
  • Je hebt minstens 5 jaar ervaring in een lead engineering rol in een vergelijkbare werkomgeving;
  • Kennis van, of affiniteit met, o.a. machinerichtlijn en relevante (applicatie specifieke) normen (e.g. ISO3691-4) is een pre;
  • Je werkt effectief samen in multidisciplinaire teams en met stakeholders;
  • Je beheerst de Engelse taal in woord en geschrift;
  • Je bent woonachtig in een straal van 50 km rondom Breda.
