What you're going to do

The asset engineer manages all assets of assigned cost center. Responsible for technical condition of assets (together with the using department). Maximize uptime of the assets. Financially oversee the expenditure to maintain these assets. Advice on future roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and optimize technical assets

Trend malfunctions and advise process owner on mitigating/optimization actions. Organize RCAs for technically related malfunctions. Initiate and lead multifunctional team to define and implement solutions. Advice on safety and durability with regard of the assets and maintaining the MRA.

2. Life cycle management

Execute remanent life assessment. Translate outcome into optimized maintenance strategy (including spare parts) and upgrade/replacement/redundancy strategy (input investment strategy). Maintain remanent life assessments. Monitor costs related to maintenance. Adapt maintenance program accordingly by balancing corrective vs preventive maintenance costs.

3. New asset introduction

Secure optimal maintainability of new assets by recommending the maintenance centric requirements, by driving for standardization of (spare) parts. Define maintenance and spare parts strategy.

4. Preventive maintenance program

Develop and implement maintenance programs. Develop execution maintenance plans. Introduce plans in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to secure timely execution. Maintain and improve data CMMS. Follow up effectiveness of the execution of the maintenance plans. (Performance analyses).

5. Asset documentation management

Keep as-built data related to asset management up to date.  Archive vendor recommendation on maintenance. Review and archive of all maintenance reports.

6. Liaison to process owner assets

Interface between business and maintenance team. Secure that all activities/decisions referred to above are made in full alignment with the expectations of the process owner. Direct liaison in case of major technical breakdowns. Second line support in case of major malfunctions. Secure full transparency/trust by keeping the process owner up to date with all aspects related to the maintenance operations. Support process owner in quality related technical questions.

7. Organizing and supporting STOP activity's

Determine STOP activities for the assets in scope. Leading functional teams in preparation stage. Responsible for progress execution work in maintenance stop

Your profile

HBO Bachelor Post-HBO Project Management, Technical Business or Maintenance Technology is a pre In possession of the "VCA for Operational Managers" certificate;Strong personality 5 years of experience in a similar job and/or environment. Knowledge of SAP-PM and cGMO/FDA regulations Maintain state of the art knowledge in field of expertise Empathetic High stress level Psychological strong Analytica strong Technically oriented Attentive Reliable Emphatic Reporting skills Cooperative Take Initiative Convincing Solution-oriented Independence Good oral and written expression of Dutch and English language
