Within dsm-firmenich Biomedical, we are currently looking for a Lab Technician for Polyethylene, Drug Delivery and Medical Coatings applications.

In this role, you will be a lab expert in the execution of prototyping and testing of new materials concepts. You will assure that dsm-firmenich Biomedical products are of consistent and high quality by: assuming responsibility for duties related to the support of existing solutions and new product development activities, characterization of biomaterials and medical device materials, formulation development, development of pharmaceutical or combination device products or technologies in compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards. Besides this, you support within the flexible Technician Pool our Medical Coatings as well as our business.

*Key Responsibilities *

• Lead the testing and development of products, processes and technologies based on project needs for commercialization;

• Assist in projects delivered on time and within project budget;

• Support multi-functional project teams;

• Interact with various internal disciplines;

• Acting as the interface between operations, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, application development and technical service. This will result in a broad network and multifunctional relationships.

• Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 40,585 to € 57,979 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.

You Bring

• Experience in lab activities, including formulation, analytical characterization & testing;

• Related HBO degree or MBO degree with an experience in science, technology or equivalent;

• Affinity to materials science and/or chemistry is considered a strong plus;

• Highly developed skills working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally in highly quality systems governed fields (medical);

• Strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and knowledge of quality system requirements in the medical device, combination products, or pharmaceutical industry (e.g., ISO13485, cGMP);

• Fluency in English.
