Painter / Maintenance Assistant - Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Assistant in the Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American. Set in the vibrant, capital city of the Netherlands, Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American, now part of Dalata Hotel Group is a 4-star, 173-bedroom hotel with an extensive food and beverage offering including a Café and Bar. It is located on the Leidseplein, in one of the most famous art nouveau buildings in Amsterdam
Objective of the Role
To ensure that the property / premises are maintained to a high standard and to ensure safe working practices at all times within the hotel.
Main Duties:
To pro-actively manage daily work-load ensuring effective use of available resources including painting, decorating, gardeningPainting and updating walls, ceilings and woodwork.
Monitoring stock of painting materials.Carrying out of maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance routines as per the departmental requirementsInvestigation and resolution of process / equipment / instrumentation/ control system issues.To ensure all maintenance procedures are kept up to date.To ensure repairs are carried out on a timely manner.To provide assistance and direction to contractorsAssist as part of the team responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the hotel facilities, and refurbishment of hotel facilities and services.To interact with all departments of the hotel.Ensure all work is carried out to the highest professional and Safety standards possible.Ensure that all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable Health and Safety legislation, policies and best practice guidelines.To abide by the Dalata policies at all times.Requirements:
Previous hospitality experience is desirableQualifications in one or more trades such as painting is desirableBe self-motivated and have the ability to prioritise workBe standards driven and detail-orientatedMust have the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environmentHave flexibility regarding working hoursHave a good command of the English LanguageAbout our culture:
