Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate material Science or chemistry Intern to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving the different abilities of our material and recycling processes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable innovation within the textile industry.

Key Responsibilities

The intern will conduct to improve our Vifour material and recycling processes. taking sustainability in account of each stage from raw material acquisition to end-of-life disposal. You will propose strategies to optimize the material properties, focusing on life span, water resistance and overall strength. Collaborating with our R&D team, you will work on improving the sustainability of binding agents and exploring alternative natural compounds. Your role will involve experimenting with new production systems and recipes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is currently pursuing or has recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Material Science, chemistry, Material Engineering, Sustainable Materials, or a related field. A solid understanding of Environmental science, particularly in textile fibers, and familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability standards are required. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainability and innovation, detail-oriented, and has strong organizational skills. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment is important. A minimum commitment of 12 weeks is required, with flexibility for longer engagements.

What We Offer

We provide hands-on experience where you will engage directly with pioneering sustainable material development projects. This is an opportunity to translate academic knowledge into real-world applications, enhancing your expertise in environmental sustainability within the textile industry. We offer a flexible work environment with the option to work partially remotely, accommodating both full-time and part-time arrangements. High-performing interns may be considered for full-time positions upon completion of the internship.
