The Corporate ICT Organization is responsible for the Global ICT-landscape in Vanderlande. The expectation from internal stakeholders is to have a high-performing and secured and compliant ICT Landscape, that is timely ready for the business needs today and tomorrow.
The Software Asset Manager is part of the ICT Strategy & Governance team within Corporate ICT. This team has the purpose to support ICT in realizing its strategic ambitions.
You will be reporting into the Director ICT Strategy & Governance who is member of the ICT Leadership Team.
Job description:
As Software Asset Manager you are responsible for the global license desk within Corporate ICT, for licenses of customer solution IT. The license desk takes care of license management for both internal IT and customer solution IT. The purpose of the license desk is to eliminate compliance risks, as well as to identify and harvest opportunities for savings and optimisations .
This will involve developing and executing license management strategies as well as operating and improving the license management processes together with different stakeholders in the organization. Strong focus will be the accuracy of license registration, to allow for reliable risk & opportunity assessments.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
License management strategies
- Develop and execute software license strategies with stakeholders across various functions and business unit.
License desk management
Manage the setup, operations and improvements of the License Desk that:Provides software asset managementEstablishes and maintains a licensing process including ongoing control and governance along with robust communication to appropriate teams.Connects other processes to ensure timely information of changes and new purchases are available to do proper life cycle management of licensesDrives and ensures compliance with legislative and contractual requirementsDevelops automated processes to facilitate software procurement & deployment.Liaises with all key stakeholders in the organization to embed licensing processes in our value chains.Does Financial management of licensing budgets and cross chargingLicensing Audits
Lead and represent ICT in external license auditsOrganize and lead internal audits for software licensing by reconciliation of usage vs entitlements, analyze results and provide action plans.Training & Awareness & Communication
Establish and maintain regular communications with the organization’s business leaders, IT leadership, and end users regarding relevant licensing activities, developments and best practices.Build up and maintain license knowledge about rules, calculation methods and exceptions due to commercial and technological developments in the market.Support Contract negotiation
Work with IT management and procurement team to optimize software licensing agreements.Work closely with procurement, financial, and legal departments in analyzing budgets, proposals, vendor contracts for acquisition, as well as monitoring the compliance of software assetsRepresent IT in license contract negotiations, maintenance renewals, RFP’s and ongoing vendor relationship management.Reporting & Analysis
Identify and report license compliance issues as well as license risks & opportunities, together with follow up actions, recommendations and solutions.Completeness and reliability of data sources
Manage and safeguard the license registration and its accuracy as well as compliancy for all licenses.Update asset records related to all approved change activitiesFunctional ownership of license management tooling.Your qualifications and skills
Relevant experience in process improvement, project management (planning to implementation)Creative, pragmatic, pro-active and curious natureStrong learning, analytical and eye-for-detail mindsetTechnical knowledge and good understanding of IT software services,Excellent negotiation skills and active listening skillsCollaborative team player at heart, with team up to win attitudeSelf driven, autonomous and strong in stakeholder mgmt. HBO/WO education levelYou have 5+ years working experience in Software Asset Management / Software Procurement.Practical experience and knowledge of Software asset management principles, methodologies, processes and toolsExperience in working in a technical engineering environment.Strong affinity with ICTState of art, detailed, knowledge and understanding of license models from IT, Legal, Financial and business perspectiveExcellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and DutchWhat we offer

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 5900 to € 7100 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
