As a Garment Technician for our Men & Boys department, you are the specialist in the field of Fit, Material and Construction. You monitor our quality requirements and have a key position between our Buying & Design department, where, among other things, you will be responsible for the technical translations of the ideas from these departments. Furthermore, you will also contribute to the maintenance and further development of our basic patterns, provide technical advice on use of materials, monitor the consistent fit of our garments based on patterns, grading and size specifications, and you prepare the fit sessions with our fitting models and you provide technical guidance during the sessions. Finally, you are always up to date with the latest developments in fits and constructions. And you have a strong sense of design and fashion trends. You will do this together with your team of (Junior) Garment Technicians, Buying and Design, creating stylish WE® collections with passion, creativity and focus on our customers. What do we expect from you?

 

  • You have completed a HBO Fashion education and have gained at least 5 years of technical work experience in a Product Development or quality department, with a focus on men's collections. For example as a Garment Technician, Pattern Maker, Product Developer or Technical Designer.
  • You have a strong passion for the technical side of product development; this means a broad technical knowledge of patterns, fits and knowledge of materials.
  • You have experience with CAD-CAM systems, preferably Gerber.
  • You have experience in managing (Junior) Garment Technicians and are enthusiastic about motivating and further training them.
  • You are communicatively strong in your contact with others.
