Job title – (Senior) Project Manager Enzymes

Location – Delft, Netherlands

Place of work – Hybrid (50% from the office in Delft, 50% remote)

As (senior) project manager you will be part of the Enzyme House leadership team and you will partner a TTH segment, for which you will drive the innovation portfolio by being the linking pin to R&D. You will lead multidisciplinary project teams, bringing together colleagues from enzyme engineering, strain development, fermentation, downstream processing, analysis, data science, application, IP and regulatory, to deliver enzyme innovations for your segment.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive TTH enzyme innovation projects as technical workstream lead, in line with segment strategy according to stage-gate principles.

  • Be a coaching, inspirational and challenging leader for your project teams.

  • Ensure that project objectives are met within the agreed budget, timelines and according to dsm-firmenich SHE and quality standards.

  • Shape projects and opportunities together with your business partners and translate customer needs into project goals for enzyme innovation.

  • Keep track of spend in your segments portfolio and advise portfolio owners on how to best execute and time project work.

  • Ensure optimal staffing for your project and the House competence teams, by working together with the other managers of the Enzyme House leadership team.

  • Developing and Executing the R&D portfolio and technology strategy for Enzymes together with the Enzyme House management team.

    You Bring:

  • 5-10 years of working experience in Life Sciences within an R&D and/or innovation environment.

  • Proven track record as project manager, and affinity with portfolio management.

  • Understanding of the Food & Beverages business, and the ability to translate business needs into technical project deliverables.

  • Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, risk assessment and escalation ability and effortless stakeholder management.

  • A strong sense of accountability and a preference for dynamic work environment.

  • MSc or equivalent experience in Life sciences (a Biotechnology or Food Technology background is an advantage for this role)

  • Fluency in English.
