The internship
Do you have a passion for design and communicating and want to learn how these may be applied in a business context? In addition to providing practical communications skills, this role provides exposure to a wide range of individuals across the business including senior leaders within our Global HQ and across the dozens of countries HEINEKEN operates.

 

What you will be responsible for:

 

  • The creation of people-focused digital content, including graphics and videos to help tell how Global Supply Chain is helping to bring to life our company strategy
  • Provide support in creation of other graphic materials and ensuring they are consistent with HEINEKEN and GSC’s visual identity
  • Manage editorial calendar and Global Supply Chain’s digital communication channels including Workplace and SharePoint (as well as supplying content for HEINEKEN’s external channels as needed).
  • Assisting with in-person events and planning and execution of the Global Supply Chain Bi-Annual conference

The department

In the Global Communications team, you will be part of the storytelling arm of HEINEKEN that helps deliver messaging internally with our employees and externally with customers, consumers and shareholders.


The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 March 2024
  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • It is a practice-oriented internship
  • You will be based in Amsterdam with occasional travel to our office in Schiphol.
  • You will receive an internship fee of €500  gross pm based on 40 hours per week
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

 

The start of your internship

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.


The unique you

  • Ability to take complex information and distil it into concrete, clear and simple messages for various audiences
  • Self-starter who is structured and organized; can handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Creative and outside-the-box thinker who can bring a fresh perspective to employee communications
  • Fluency in English

 


We believe that everyone has unique talents and are therefore looking for you

  • Pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing
  • Proficient in Video Editing and Graphic Design (or willing to learn)
  • Passion for understanding the art of employee communications and corporate storytelling

 

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
