Junior Legal Counsel

The Junior Legal Counsel will report to the Head of Legal KSA. Objective

  • Legal support to activities within KSA.
  • Legal support to the Head of Legal KSA in contract drafting, company secretariat, corporate work, and monitoring and interpretation of the local regulation relevant to Engie businesses in the Kingdom.
  • Ensure compliance with the Engie Ethics Code of Conduct and policies. Job Responsibilities
    • Provide legal support in corporate-related matters and secretariat work.
    • Analyze and monitor KSA regulations in the energy sector with a focus on permitting and licensing.
    • Assist in the drafting and negotiation of MoU, NdA, partnership agreements, and service contracts.
    • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes and procedures in KSA and ensure ENGIE interests are safeguarded.
    • Contribute to the implementation and use of the document management system and contracts digitalization.
    • Encourage a culture of compliance with laws, ethics, and integrity in the Group.
    • Control the use, quality, and cost of external legal counsels. Key Relationships

          Law Degree from a reputable university. Experience

          • 2+ years of legal experience.
          • Large law firm experience preferred; large corporate practice also valued.
          • Experience of corporate work and contractual review and drafting. Language
            • Arabic Mother Tongue
            • Fluent in English Knowledge and Skills
              • Contract drafting.
              • Ability to provide sound and business-oriented legal advice.
              • Ability to deal with complexity.
              • Knowledge of the local market/stakeholders.
              • Organizational skills.
              • Ability to work within a team of members from varying cultural backgrounds as well as with counterparts of varying cultural backgrounds.
              • Ability to maintain high levels of focused drive and energy, giving above what is required to get the job done.
