What is the role about?

Bitvavo is seeking an experienced Senior PR & Content Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team in Amsterdam. You will be an integral part of the Brand and Communication team within the Marketing department. Your primary responsibility will be developing and implementing strategic communication plans, managing public relations activities, and creating compelling content to enhance Bitvavo's brand presence in the European market.

How will you have an impact?

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive PR and content marketing strategies aligned with Bitvavo's business goals and Brand DNA.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists and other (f)influencers in our European markets to secure positive coverage and enhance Bitvavo's brand awareness and preference.
  • Content Creation: Lead and coordinate the creation of engaging and high-quality content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media content, to effectively communicate Bitvavo's messages, promote our products, highlight new features, and showcase our services to all relevant European target groups.
  • Brand Positioning: Drive initiatives to establish and strengthen Bitvavo's brand positioning (DNA) in the y and fintech sectors.
  • Event Management: Coordinate and manage PR activities for events, conferences, and product launches to maximize visibility and media coverage.
  • Crisis Communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate potential reputational risks.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, design, product, and leadership teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to adapt strategies accordingly.

How will you be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in PR and content marketing roles, preferably in the fintech or cryptocurrency industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong media relations experience with a track record of securing positive coverage.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling content across various channels. 
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective communication strategies.
  • Experience in crisis communication and issues management.
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
