As Large Project Offshore (LPO) department, we are contributing to an unprecedented transformation in the energy sector. This means scaling up the offshore capacity by realizing multiple 2GW grid connection systems, in a relatively short amount of time, while also continuing the construction of planned 700MW and 900MW grid connection systems. As TenneT, we need to secure the supply of today and tomorrow in order to contribute to a successful European energy transition. As LPO, we therefore aim to deliver our projects as promised, provide an attractive working environment, and we need to change and adapt our organization to deliver 40GW, until 2030. This also needs a regular reflection on our performance and the continuous development of our business activities (this means the performance of the unit itself instead of the projects). The LPO Business Team enables and supports the LPO Management Team and the entire LPO community, by managing all activities around strategy development & implementation, cultural development and internal communication.

In order to lead this team and execute the activities as mentioned above, we are currently looking for a Lead Business Team. Responsibilities:

• Leading the Business team with 5 (senior) advisors (and functionally leading 1 advisor in Germany), structuring and coordinating all Business activities. In particular you manage all activities around the topics Strategy, Culture and Communication;
• Actively contributing to and co-owning strategic development and its implementation, which include;- Supporting and advising all LPO departments with respect to the implementation of our unit strategy- Supporting and advising all LPO departments with respect to improvement initiatives (OKR’s) and performance management (KPI’s) in order to ensure obtaining our unit and department goals- Interfacing with relevant corporate departments and initiatives, like the ‘Business Acceleration’ (BAT) team and ‘Making choices’ initiative
• Managing organizational development activities, such as organizational changes & cultural transformations;
• Managing MT support regarding team development, including offsite organization (in close alignment with HR business partner);
• Preparing the Unit Performance Dialogues and contributing as well as the preparational Department Performance dialogues (in close cooperation with BGD);
• Managing support for the Director and MT regarding preparation and facilitating of meetings, decision proposals, presentations, etc;
• Organize the MT meetings content wise and be the guardian of the quality (setting the agenda, checking minutes, checking and challenging decision proposals);
• Coordinating and completing central tasks (e.g. resource management, learning and development, onboarding, internal communication) and selectively represent the unit in overarching committees or initiatives;
• In this role you will report to the Director of Large Projects Offshore. Your profile and background
  • Academic working and thinking level and a relevant master’s degree in business administration or comparable;
  • Able to manage functionally, motivate and give direction to a team of professionals and you are a team player yourself (your management style is typically coaching);
  • Able to manage an ‘organizational change’ or restructuring project;
  • Excellent advisory, change management and communication skills and proven experience in this field;
  • Experience in handling groups with a diversity of stakeholders, cross-functional team interaction and complex business cases;
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on mentality, courage, determination and result orientation;
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, intrinsically motivated and you take responsibility and ownership;
  • Strong willingness and ability to learn and change;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English is a must, both verbal and written. German language proficiency is a plus. Our recruiting process Our offer

    Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea. Additional information

    • The weekly working time is 40 hours;
    • The position is unlimited;

    • Salary for this position is in hay grade 18, maximum € 10.122 gross per month based on a fulltime agreement (depending on experience, education level and skills).
