Introduction to the job

At ASML we deal with trusted partners (key suppliers) that are key to the success of ASML in the market and their customers. The Account Lead is the one person responsible for building this relation based on trust, mutual interest and benefit. The Account Lead must define and execute a supplier strategy and plan to support ASML for the short and long term, in which QLTCS performance is key and the basis for future growth. The Account Lead organizes all aspects of the relation, including technology roadmaps, quality, logistic performance and commercial contracts.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

As Account Lead Mechanics in Sourcing & Procurement you will drive and execute supplier development as well as the commercial relationships with suppliers within a cluster of strategic suppliers.

  • Manages the ASML - supplier relationship with long term focus, based on mutual transparency and trust.
  • Set-up and execute a stakeholder management and communication plan.
  • Accountable for defining and realizing global strategic, tactical and operational goals at the supplier, in line with the category strategy
  • Full global QLTCS accountability for the supplier (Quality, Logistics, Technology, Cost, Sustainability) and for realization of commercial goals incl. negotiations and deal making.
  • Understands the key-value drivers for each QLTCS discipline.
  • Priority setting and problem solving within the account.
  • Supports supplier selections and tactical buyers.
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration cross functional (commercial, quality, logistics, new product introductions), on all levels and locations, at ASML and supplier. Builds bridges between internal stakeholders and supplier.
  • Leads and chairs supplier account team, operational and executive review meetings with ASML and supplier.
  • Accountable for correct and in time reporting of supplier QLTCS performance intern and extern.
  • Recognized and "used" by Supplier and ASML first point of contact and as key for any kind of escalation.
  • Reports to group Supplier Manager/ Senior Account Leader

Education and experience

Bachelor or master degree in engineering or economics., preferably more then 10 years experience in Sourcing or Sales of technical products (commercial roles and technical knowledge).

  • Preferably more then 10 years experience in Sourcing/Procurement or Sales (commercial roles).
  • Strong commercial background (strategy/positioning and tactics, negotiation, deal making).
  • Experience with technical products and New Product Introductions (NPI) in big organizations.
  • Technical background in mechanics (design and/or manufacturing)

We are currently looking for a new Account Lead Sourcing to join ASML's M&M (Mechanics & Mechatronics) cluster within S&P (Sourcing & Procurement). As Account Lead Sourcing for the functional cluster of M&M you would be responsible for the procurement activities of product related tooling or mechanical parts such as high precision mechanics and assemblies or product related tooling (e.g. transport tools, hoisting & lifting, working at height).
