We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Manager to join our BOOTS (Bolstering Organizational and Operational Technical Security) Program team at ABN AMRO Clearing. 


The primary focus of this role is to oversee and manage IT projects within the BOOTS Program, ensuring adherence to regulatory timelines and integrated governance of shared objectives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the coordination and delivery of multiple projects, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams, and implementing effective project management methodologies to meet program goals.

As project manager you:

  • Have a central role in delivering value through execution of the Program deliverables.
  • Effectively drive our IT initiatives while maintaining a collaborative and success-oriented environment.
  • Support decision making boards with achieving critical milestones by continuously improving projects and processes. 
  • Solid technical background with understanding or hands-on experience. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the initiative lead / product owner and engage with key stakeholders in the execution of our platform strategy. 
  • Are in frequent contact with the project team as well as parties throughout the organization that need to support the initiatives to deliver its results.
  • Create insight, oversight and control over the end-to-end change. 
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Focus on the objectives, progress, dependencies and dilemmas of initiatives. 
  • Ensure there is a clear roadmap and up-to-date and relevant overviews of status, decisions, impediments and dependencies.
  • Analyze priority conflicts, strategic transition options and dilemmas and give advice to decision makers to take decisions on the optimal way forward.
  • Address dependencies across initiatives to ensure an integrated approach in realizing our strategic ambitions.
  • Initiate and facilitate deep dives to ensure there is a clarity on objectives and the required collaboration across the organization. 
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Align initiatives with the quarterly business review portfolio planning. 
Functie-eisen

  • You have a proven track record in successfully realizing complex (Agile) change initiatives with an organizational wide impact
  • You have experience being a sparring partner for senior management and a natural (informal) leader. Proven experience in IT project management
  • Your way of getting things done naturally makes you collaborate across silos and you have a track record in mobilizing people through difficult transitions.
  • You have broad business knowledge and are able to understand how this translates into governance, data, processes, organization and technology. 
  • You work and reason at a university level and have more than five years’ experience of providing advice from the perspective of multiple disciplines.
  • You have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification in Project Management is a plus.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • You are familiar with project methodologies such as Scrum, PMP, PRINCE II and IPMA.
  • You have experience in a corporate organization, preferably a bank or financial organisation.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

  • Salary up to a maximum of €6,000 per month based on 40 hours per week
