The Position

In the Applications and Connectivity software development team within the Service Innovation organization we develop services that bring value on top of our Electron Microscopes. We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Test Engineer to join our dynamic Service Innovation group in Eindhoven. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our innovative products. You will collaborate with various teams to design, develop, and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans. Your expertise will be critical in identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring our customers receive high-quality, reliable products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts & Marketing: Interact with different teams to ensure testability of requirements, the correctness of testing parameters and seamless integration of test plans.

  • Develop Test Plans: Create detailed test plans and cases to thoroughly evaluate product performance and quality.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality assurance tests and design performance tests using sophisticated testing procedures.

  • Report defects : Create a report with the test results and collaborate with the team to file problem reports with the right severity and priority.

  • Root cause analysis: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any errors, streamlining testing procedures to enhance efficiency.

  • Test Strategy Implementation: Design, develop, implement, and deploy effective test strategies, plans, and processes for a range of products.

  • Advanced Technology Research: Stay updated with the latest technology trends and research to ensure our testing procedures align with industry standards, and suggest tooling improvements where you see fit.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with network engineers, support, and operations teams to cultivate a smooth product launch.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience: Validated experience as a Test Engineer in a high-tech environment and familiarity with various testing techniques (e.g. dynamic, static, manual and automated testing, etc.).

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in creating and carrying out test plans, familiarity with quality assurance methodologies, and experience with analyzing and solving hardware and software issues.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and likes working together in a team-oriented environment.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
