Voor een dynamische organisatie in de financiële sector zoeken we een Internal Control Specialist. In deze rol houd je je bezig met het verbeteren en monitoren van het internal control raamwerk, waarbij je de opzet, het bestaan en de werking van diverse beheersmaatregelen beoordeelt.

Onze opdrachtgever is een vooruitstrevende fintech die zich richt op beleggingsdiensten. Ze beheren aanzienlijke klantbedragen en groeien stevig. Wat ga je doen als Internal Control Specialist?

Als specialist binnen het risicomanagement team ben jij verantwoordelijk voor het internal control raamwerk. Met jouw kennis van AO/IC beoordeel je de effectiviteit van key controls en draag je suggesties aan voor verbetering. Je werkt nauw samen met de collega's uit de eerste lijn en weet hen te overtuigen van verbeteringen waar nodig. Daarnaast speel je een rol in de beoordeling en opvolging van issues en incidenten.

Tot jouw taken behoren onder andere:

  • Beoordelen van de opzet, het bestaan en de werking van interne beheersmaatregelen en voorstellen van verbeteringen.
  • Ondersteunen en vastleggen van risicoanalyses en risicobeheersmaatregelen.
  • Up-to-date houden van beleid, procedures en procesbeschrijvingen.
  • Het faciliteren van risico-assessments en uitvoeren van root-cause-analyses.

Team & Rapportage

Je komt terecht in het riskmanagement team, waar je nauw samenwerkt met de operationeel risicomanager en financieel riskmanagers. De afdeling opereert als tweede lijn en ondersteunt de eerste lijn bij het verbeteren van risicomanagement, zoals het formuleren van beheersmaatregelen en het opvolgen van issues.

Wat breng jij mee?

  • Minimaal HBO-niveau, met een achtergrond in accountancy of auditing.
  • Drie tot vijf jaar relevante ervaring binnen risk- en controlgebieden, bij voorkeur binnen de financiële sector.
  • Kennis van (niet-)financiële processen en internal controls.
  • Ervaring met GRC-systemen.
  • Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden, pragmatisch en oplossingsgericht.
