What will you do?

At Xin Chao restaurant, you get the unique opportunity to grow as an independent chef, even without experience We believe in your talent and offer you plenty of room to develop your cooking skills. As an independent chef within our team, you prepare the most delicious Vietnamese dishes and learn everything about our authentic recipes and preparation methods. We offer you the opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen, where flexibility, responsibility and creativity are central. Whether you are a starter and want to gain experience or are already experienced, with us you get the opportunity to learn from the best and put your own stamp on the dishes.

Together with your colleagues, you ensure that our guests can enjoy a culinary experience of a high level. Your tasks include:

Preparing and cooking Vietnamese dishes

Managing the kitchen during your shift

Ensuring hygiene and food safety according to HACCP guidelines

Xin Chào in Utrecht is a lively place to work, located in a bustling student city known for its international community and dynamic atmosphere. With a constant flow of diverse guests, from locals to students and tourists, each day brings something new. The restaurant is centrally located and easy to reach, offering a unique opportunity to work in an environment that celebrates authentic Vietnamese flavors in a welcoming, energetic setting.

  • A fixed workweek

  • One-year contract, with the potential for a permanent contract afterward
  • Pay: 2419,75 EUR/month

What does a typical day look like?

The workday begins at 11 a.m. with planning and task delegation. You then prepare mise en place for your station and clean the kitchen for service. After lunch, you prepare dishes and components, always keeping the guests' wishes in mind. After dinner, the kitchen is cleaned, and, over a closing drink of your choice, the team discusses the day's successes and areas for improvement.
