This organization ensures the stability and reliability of the Internet, supporting millions of users worldwide through cutting-edge technology and resilient operations. As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you’ll play a key role in protecting mission-critical systems and data, driving automation, and embedding security-by-design principles across the organization. You’ll collaborate with top engineers globally to design, build, and enhance advanced security infrastructure while leading investigations into complex cyber incidents. Design, deploy, and continuously improve security monitoring infrastructure (NIDS, SIEM, EDR) with a strong focus on automation and visibility. Partner with internal technical teams and external vendors to build secure, resilient architectures. Support security audits and compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001. Identify and implement technical improvements to strengthen overall security posture. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. ~5+ years of experience in information security engineering or operations. ~ Hands-on experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible). ~ Experience building automations and analytics pipelines for security operations. ~ Fluent in English (written and spoken). xnkfpon Hybrid work model: flexibility to work remotely or from a modern Amsterdam HQ. ~Cyber Security District is the first recruitment agency in The Netherlands with a 100% focus on cybersecurity talent .
