Job Description

With a strong commitment to delivering top-notch services and cutting-edge technology, we are seeking a talented and motivated Datacenter Technician to join our dynamic team.

As a Datacenter Technician at Netrouting, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our datacenter infrastructure. You will work out of our private datacenter located in The Hague and your expertise will be vital in supporting our datacenter operations and providing exceptional customer support.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of datacenter hardware and networking equipment.
• Monitor datacenter systems and network performance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network, and server-related problems.
• Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard datacenter assets and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage server deployments and migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Conduct regular audits and maintain accurate documentation of datacenter assets, configurations, and processes.
• Assist in designing and implementing datacenter procedures and best practices to optimize operational efficiency.
• Respond to and resolve datacenter-related incidents and emergencies on a 24/7 on-call rotation basis.

Requirements

• Must currently live and have permission to work in The Netherlands
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Datacenter Technician or in a similar role with a focus on datacenter operations and infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of networking, and server hardware (e.g., Dell PowerEdge, Juniper switches, HPE ProLiant).
• Basic knowledge of datacenter infrastructure (e.g. UPS, generator, cooling, fire suppression)
• Proficiency in datacenter monitoring tools and management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach to address client needs.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and work flexible hours as needed.
