About the role

We're a passionate, driven, and senior team looking for a highly creative, visionary, and execution-driven Director of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts, amplify growth, and establish Eleven as an inspiring global technology brand. As Eleven's Director of Marketing, you will be a pivotal leader in catapulting our brand and driving global growth.

You will be:

  • A brand champion and growth driver: Lead impactful campaigns, refine our brand, and act as a hands-on bridge between sales, customers, technology, and the market to ensure consistent, resonant messaging.
    • An autonomous innovator: Own the Eleven brand experience end-to-end, from visual to verbal, pushing creative boundaries with high autonomy and collaborating closely with the CEO and your network of specialists.
      • A disruptive force in private investments: Spearhead marketing for a platform revolutionizing the industry, directly impacting global awareness, customer acquisition, and the fundamental workings of private investment.

  • Connect deeply with audiences and drive results. You understand customer needs and the competitive landscape, translating insights into compelling narratives and data-driven campaigns that inspire action.
    • Lead with vision and hands-on execution. You own all aspects of marketing, from strategic planning to hands-on execution. You can implement things directly, from creative to content to campaigns. You can also successfully manage specialists to take things even further.
      • Are passionate about brand building and industry transformation. You are excited about catapulting a brand, growing a fintech company, and transforming the global alternative investments industry.
        • Inspire and connect emotionally through impactful content. You understand how to reach people on a human level, drive behavioral change, and use the power of design, words, and AI to create resonant messages. You are a storyteller.
          • Are a self-starter and collaborative leader. You take ownership, require minimal direction, excel at multitasking and project management, and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders. You are innately passionate about making a difference.
            • Possess comprehensive marketing expertise. You are proficient in running social media campaigns, optimizing content, optimizing audiences, empowering sales teams, optimizing SEO, optimizing customer experiences, sales and marketing automation, leveraging creative professionals and knowing how and when to use AI to boost productivity while staying on brand and human.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand leadership and development:
    • Catapult the Eleven brand, establishing it as a global leader through innovative messaging, storytelling, design, and experiences.
      • Refine the long-term vision, mission, and goals, using them as the foundation for all marketing efforts.
        • Digital presence and content leadership:
          • Upgrade and expand our public website, enhancing visuals, adding motion, clarifying messaging and user experience, and adding product and feature pages, all while optimizing for SEO and lead generation.
            • Oversee and create insightful, on-brand content across all digital channels (blogs, case studies, testimonials, company updates, etc.).
              • Develop brand-driven product updates and release notes, tailored to various customer segments.
                • Establish and maintain an AI-powered knowledge base for customers, enhancing onboarding and product mastery.
                  • Marketing campaign management and growth:
                    • Drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through strategic digital marketing campaigns, including ROI-driven advertising and email marketing.
                      • Maximize company visibility through public relations, influencer outreach, and industry events. Equip the sales team with effective marketing materials and optimize customer upgrade conversions.
                        • Team and cross-functional leadership:
                          • Build and lead a high-performing marketing operation, fostering collaboration with sales, product, market teams and customers and lead and manage a network of marketing and creative specialists.
                            • Act as a key liaison between marketing and sales, ensuring alignment and maximizing impact.
                              • Strategic and operational excellence:
                                • Measure and optimize marketing performance using data and KPIs, ensuring efficient budget management and ROI.
                                  • Develop a deep understanding of the product, market, and customer needs to inform strategic marketing decisions.
                                    • Enhance Eleven's industry presence through awards and participation in industry events.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a senior marketing leadership role, preferably in technology or software industries.
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional creativity and marketing proficiency with a proven track record of driving growth and overcoming marketing challenges.
  • Proven experience collaborating with sales teams, engaging with customers, and leading creative teams.
  • Deep understanding of SEO, email marketing, marketing automation, analytics, digital advertising, and audience optimization.
  • Proven experience overseeing marketing budgets and delivering a positive ROI.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote and virtual work environment.
  • Based in the Netherlands
  • Completely natural command of the English language and strong writing skills
