Job Description:
The Cleanroom Operator is responsible for executing tasks in and around the cleanroom, supporting process preparation, inventory management, and overall cleanroom maintenance for the manufacturing of cell and gene therapy products. This role ensures a GMP-compliant cleanroom environment and contributes to the efficient operation of the Manufacturing department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling the transfer and storage of cryopreserved samples and products, along with maintaining a cryopreservation database if required.
- Monitoring, replenishing, and organizing general manufacturing materials and garment inventory.
- Conducting routine checks of support areas to ensure materials and garments are available for the next shift, maintaining cleanliness, and verifying materials are within their expiration dates.
- Managing inventory to prioritize the use of items based on expiry.
- Collecting and disposing of waste properly and ensuring fresh garment supply.
- Ensuring that all instructional documents in the cleanroom are current and valid.
- Participating in periodic and emergency cleanroom sanitation procedures.
- Assisting with the transfer, cleaning, and organization of equipment as needed.
- Conducting environmental sampling within the manufacturing department as required.
- Acting as a liaison between Quality Engineering (QE) and Manufacturing for planned and urgent equipment maintenance.
- Supervising and accompanying external contractors, visitors, and technicians in the cleanroom when necessary.
- Performing minor document revisions related to cleanroom support areas.
- Providing training related to job functions upon request.
- Promptly reporting any deviations to the supervisor.
- Ensuring compliance with GMP regulations in all manufacturing support activities.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or equivalent in Science and/or Logistics.
- Experience in cleanroom work or cross-contamination control
- Material and equipment supply
- Assisting vendors in the cleanroom
