G2 are representing a client in the Marine sector who are looking for a Project/Package Manager to work on marine and naval sector projects. Ship Building Projects.

The client ideally wants someone that has knowledge of electrical engineering, commissioning or installation within the maritime or offshore sector, with experience covering a technical engineering or hands on management.

This position is an office-based role for a Technical Manager / Package Manager, with experience of power distribution, electrical integration and engineering for vessels to liaise between the client and contractors.

THIS IS A PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY – NOT FREELANCE - EIGHT YEAR PROJECT

Start: Q1 – Q2 2025

Location: Rotterdam area, Netherlands

Salary: €5,000 - €7,500 per month over 12 months, +8% and bonus structure

Ideal Candidate:

- 5-10 years of experience (3+ years of engineering & 3+ years of managing a team)

- Technical engineering background – knowledge of electrical engineering

- Both degree qualified or hands on (installation, commissioning) backgrounds considered

- Ideally experience in the maritime, naval or offshore industries

- Any projects engineering or projects management experience – 2+ years

- Ability to coordinate technical teams, liaise with clients and contractors

- Any experience with managing project plans, budgets and timely delivery is applicable

- English is essential

The projects have durations of 5 - 7 years, so if you are looking for your next step in a long-term option, this could be a great opportunity for you. The client will give you the opportunity to develop both your technical and projects management experience.
