Job Title: Enterprise Solutions Architect

Job Description and Summary

The Enterprise Solutions Architect unites HCLT Mode 123 next-gen IT Services strategy. As an Enterprise Solutions architect you need to be well versed with Next Generation technologies such as Software Defined Datacenter, Hybrid Cloud, Converged Networks, Cybersecurity, IoT, Digital workplace and other transitional services in the IT infrastructure space. The Enterprise Solutions Architect will:

• Lead the Steady State operations contract from the architecture governance standpoint
• Engage the client architects and senior stakeholders to work on further account strategies, architecture roadmap and technology/service lifecycle management to support the client’s business change program using next-gen IT services and become a trusted advisor to the client on architectural topics.
• Engages with clients as part of Pre-sales/ RFP process for validating the architectures and solutions proposed in the solution response by HCLT Practice teams
• Provide support for incremental business growth
• Implement and run architectural governance to ensure the integrity of the HCLT services are maintained during change programs, i.e. continue to deliver as contracted

The Enterprise Solutions Architect will have a line reporting to the Head of IT Architecture and functional reporting to the respective client account stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Establish IT Architecture Governance framework, Architecture roadmap including as-is and to-be solution architecture blueprints and technology product lifecycle management
2. Identifying new opportunities, build solution architecture, evangelise the technology and adjust the solution proposal that meets customer requirements. The solutions will be based on next-generation IT solutions spanning one or more of the following areas: Digital Workplace, Software Defined Datacentre, Converged Networks, CyberSecurity, Unified Communications, Future Mode Operations including Tooling and Infrastructure Services
3. Work closely with the HCLT Account Directors, Service Delivery Managers, Practice Architects, Technical Architects, project managers from HCL and client side. Along with the HCLT application development team, HCLT infrastructure support, suppliers and other/HCLT domains as required.
4. Ensure that infrastructure solutions make the most efficient use of resources, technical and people, to provide the best value to both the client and HCLT.
5. Identify opportunities for operational improvements that improve customer service and create competitive advantage
6. Help resolve issues affecting the infrastructure including performance, processes and service issues.
7. Provide comprehensive technical and procedural advice and guidance to team members, other HCLT domains and customers as required
8. Attendance at the design and other client forums representing HCLT.
9. Support the development of new ideas/business case/opportunities into fully fledged solution proposals during the pre-sales stages. Identify innovative uses of technology that improve customer service and create competitive advantage
10. Adhere to client technology governance and project framework.
11. Help develop innovative uses of technology in conjunction with HCLT architects and client architects to improve service and cost-effectiveness
12. Be seen as an agent of change within the organization. Engage with support teams to create energy for change.
13. Help achieve best practice for client infrastructure to ensure infrastructure, support deliverables and components are consistent with agreed designs and address applicable risk and security considerations.

Job Requirement and Skills required:

• Proven Solution design, architecture and consulting experience that can support converting new opportunities into additional business for HCLT
• Solutioning and Presales experience covering multiple technology domains
• Experience as an evangelist for driving new technology adoption
• Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems logically and effectively, including root-cause analysis and actions to solve the problem
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including oral, written, presentation and the ability to successfully influence others; o Excellent verbal communication including clarifying scope, requirements and deliverables
• Excellent written communication skills including evidence of concise infrastructure design documentation
• Good stakeholder management skills. Able to effectively listen, communicate, challenge and influence team members peer group, suppliers and management
• Proven skills in dealing with suppliers (internal and external)
• Ability to prioritise and manage your workload effectively and that of a medium sized team
• Enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills
• Evidence of tenacity and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Good high-level knowledge in Digital Workplace, Software Defined Datacentre, Converged Networks, CyberSecurity, Unified Communications, Future Mode Operations including Tooling and Infrastructure Services
• Knowledge of industry 4.0 framework, AI, ML, Automation and new technology trends.
• Ability to develop innovative ideas and opportunities for exploiting new or existing infrastructure solutions
• Experience in commercial negotiations and how to build contract schedules
• Ability to investigate and learn (to support the design and implementation of new technical solutions)
• Proven skills in recognising dependencies and project planning activities
• Must gain knowledge of the Client Sector and any regulatory processes affecting preferred Must show a willingness to learn if not motivation and ability to gain an understanding of client business units, systems and all HCLT processes
• Knowledge of finance and budget control
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to colleagues and customers

Deliverables

• The Enterprise Solutions Architect will be responsible for the following deliverables in addition to the above responsibilities:
• Develop as-is and target architecture blueprints and roadmaps
• Manage technology product lifecycle and propose adoption strategy
• Create solution presentations and deliver the same to CXO level and other senior stakeholders
• Enable and support new business opportunities towards the successful closure of SOW for execution
• Develop a High-level overview of the architecture and services being delivered by HCLT to the client
• Create and maintain the Architecture Decision log as it relates to the HCLT solutions and services
• Implement and Chair the HCLT Architecture Review Board to provide internal solution governance for a business change
• Implement and Chair a board/committee for Innovation in Solutions and Services
• Produce of 2- 4 innovative solution whitepapers per year
• Set-up and run 1 technology day per year with the client and selected HCLT vendors\partners
