The role

As a Technical Application Manager 3DX at Damen Naval you are primarily responsible for the 3DExperience (3DX) onsite installation management. You will be involved in the 2nd and 3rd-line operational support and planning/supporting the evolution of the onsite 3DExperience installation. For this position Damen Naval is seeking an interim professional who can start on short notice.

Key accountabilities
As the Technical Application Manager 3DX, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collect and analyse customer infrastructure needs.
  • Installation of the Dassault (3DX) system product suite
  • Participate in the identification and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Formulate alternative solutions.
  • Propose solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Write technical specifications.
  • Ensure the relevance and proper operation of the proposed solutions.
  • Size and define hosting environments.
  • Supervise on-site teams.
  • Able to formulate technical roadmap

Skills & experience
To excel as the Technical Application Manager 3DX, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Minimum 5 years’ IT experience and at least a bachelor’s degree in IT
  • Proficiency with 3DExperience installation and configuration is a must.
  • Experience with networking: WAN, LAN, routing, load balancing
  • Experience with server hardware: virtualization, containers, storage solutions
  • Server operating systems: RHEL, Windows.
  • Good grasp on database concepts :  Oracle or SQL server
  • Server web technologies (TomEE, Apache HTTP, nginx, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Dutch.

  • Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.

  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.

What we offer

  • An attractive rate, ensuring at least equal pay to permanent staff.
  • Travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.
  • Flexibility to work partially from home.

If you are in this interim assignment, kindly submit your application along with your CV and motivation letter. Please state your preferred agreement, secondment or freelance, along with an indication of:

  • Secondment: your monthly gross salary based on fulltime work.
  • Freelance: your hourly rate excluding VAT.
  • Availability (fulltime / part-time -> number of hours).
  • Notice period and/or preferred start date.
