RMS Marine Service is a global player in the field of maritime services. The European activities are managed by the office in Rotterdam. We are looking for a Warehouse Manager.  

As a warehouse manager you are responsible for the entire operation in the Rotterdam warehouse. You develop the strategic aspects in consultation with your General Manager and translate them into tactical actions. You will be supported by a warehouse supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Further optimization of the warehouse management strategy and its effective implementation in processes in close collaboration with the General Manager and other department managers (Operations supervisor and Logistics Services Manager)
  • Monitoring internal and external developments and translating these into operational activities in the warehouse and communicating about this to other departments
  • Coaching, motivating and assessing employees in the warehouse to strengthen the competencies and overall quality of the department
  •  Management of warehouse specific activities
  • Defining, monitoring and monitoring operational processes and the associated KPIs
  • Ensuring inventory management and the cycle counting process and the inspection plan
  • Monitoring transport flows and the most effective transport options in close collaboration with operation specialists

What you need to succeed at RMS

  • HBO Bachelor working and thinking level
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a warehouse manager role on a strategic and tactical level
  • Knowledge of the Lean methodology and extensive knowledge of logistics processes
  • Experience with process optimization and change management
  • You are available 40 hours per week
  • Good communication and social skills that you fluently can express (verbal and written) in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus
  • Able to build and secure structure and manage the organization accordingly
  • You can be described as independent, proactive and analytical
