Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Salary: €80,000-€85,000 (plus flights, accommodation and living allowance)

Employment Type: Permanent


Our client is a leading provider of end-to-end building solutions, with a strong track record of delivering large-scale projects across Europe. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager with a background in mission-critical environments to take on data centre projects in Amsterdam.


As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all on-site aspects of electrical installations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Reporting to the Project Director, you will work closely with the Contracts Management team, Suppliers, Site Coordinators, Project Managers, EHSQ representatives, and Subcontractors to drive project success.


From day one, you will:

  • Ensure strict adherence to EHSQ (Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality) regulations, conducting toolbox talks, implementing RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements), and ensuring correct PPE usage.
  • Verify that all necessary permits and clearances are in place before commencing work.
  • Develop weekly look-ahead plans, ensuring strategic scheduling and smooth project progression.
  • Manage on-site coordination of equipment rentals, tool distribution, and workforce allocation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices, overseeing their tasks and daily inspections.
  • Supervise and manage site labour teams, site coordinators, and subcontractors.
  • Lead commissioning and project closure activities.
  • Ensure the completion of snag lists and final project handovers.
  • Track labour productivity and ensure workforce efficiency.
  • Manage external project communications with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Oversee procurement and availability of essential construction materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date progress reports.
  • Uphold the company’s Document Management System, ensuring compliance and organisation.
  • Develop project-specific schedules and provide regular updates to the wider project team.
  • Monitor and report on project quality metrics, ensuring all electrical works meet the required standards.


What You Need:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a lead electrical role within mission-critical environments (data centres preferred).
  • Fully qualified Electrician, with relevant QC Testing certification.
  • Previous Project Management experience is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer applications for project tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
