The Team:

In Wholesale Banking Tech/ Cross Product Services (CPS) , we are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Chapter Lead for Tech Network and File Transfer to lead the team and drive strategic direction for these services.

Cross Product Services (CPS) plays a crucial role in delivering central services across WB Tech and supporting all other WB Tribes (and other ING teams) for these services. Supported services by CPS include PEGA, Global DIL, MIBI, IT Risk and Network/File Transfer.

As an IT Chapter Lead you are a senior engineer while having excellent people management capabilities and colleagues see you as a go-to person. You have not only a strong drive to constantly keep your own expertise up to speed, but also want to make an active contribution to the development and advancement of the people in your chapter and your field. You stimulate your Chapter members towards continuous improvement of their skills. You speak up and challenge the status quo.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of external network and File Transfer (XFB) connections. You will be working closely together with the network implementation team of ING Infra, and with the internal applications support teams (WB Tech DevOps). You ensure continuity of the current landscape while working on continues improvement to improve the reliability of the provided services while being the voice of WB Tech for these services and any other infra services in the future.

You will be leading a team across the Netherlands and ING Hubs PH with a potential to grow further in the future.

Roles and Responsibilities:

You have a positive can-do mindset and are a role model in ING's Orange Behaviour and lead by example. Besides having a passion for IT, you are a strong people manager. You are willing to collaborate closely with the other Chapter Leads to continuously improve the way of working.

You have experience working in an Agile environment and adopting Agile practices. Your skills will help them achieve their goals and deliver high-quality results. You seek out opportunities to boost efficiency and output while expanding functional knowledge.

Networking domain:

Design of external connections (leased-lines, VPN-tunnels, proxy-connections) Design Load balancing setups (local and global) Validate firewall rules implementations Consult DevOps to assist them in the overall application / network / security design Creates and keeps up to date required documentation related to all systems/solutions in his/her area of responsibility Provides guidance and support to developers for any Infrastructure related topic (hardware, operating system, networking

File Transfer (XFB) domain:

Provides guidance and support to developers in building file transfer flows. For example: Internal, between ING applications, using Axway Central Governance platform Between ING NL and ING branches, using Axway Gateway External, between ING and external partners, also using Axway gateway. You have a strong interest and vision in recent trends in infra, network and file transfer technology in general and the ability to transfer this knowledge back to ING You are passionate about reliability and automation. Have strong problem-solving skills to structure and improve complex situations A good communicator in English (verbal, written & presentation) Not waiting for others to tell you what to do but just take initiative You have a collaborative workstyle with focus on achieving goals by helping others to be successful You have a focus on quality and challenge your colleagues to grow You speak up and challenge decisions (you ask why things are done instead of just doing them) Working on continuous improvements and passionate about technology IT-related background (Bachelor's degree or higher) Preferred CCDP Certified; or experienced in creating networking designs. Preferred F5 big IP certified (Exam 101 or more); or experience with load balancer configurations. Experience with public cloud (AWS / Azure) is desirable. Basic Linux and Windows skills, comfortable with running scripts and applications on those platforms Knowledge about FTP and SFTP protocols Extended networking knowledge: firewalls, ip-addresses, cidr blocks Experience with Axway MFT products Experience with ServiceNow (Incident and Change Management)
