This is where we need you to help hundreds of merchants Client due diligence and credit risk assessments are key to healthy and successful business relations. You will ensure client records meet the standards of our Credit Risk and know-your-customer frameworks.
In this wide-ranging role, you will be part of our experienced, passionate, and growing Credit Risk team within Europe. The team's core responsibility is to prevent financial losses from credit, regulatory, and scheme compliance risks while contributing to the continuous growth of our BNPL and financial services.
You will work closely with your international Risk Management peers and partner with the Sales, Implementation, and product teams.
What will be your challenge?
Execute onboarding and underwriting routines, ensuring diligent documentation and record-keeping Identify and verify new merchants by evaluating legal and financial documents regarding onboarding. Perform analysis on merchants to determine the risk classification based on compliance, AML/KYC, and credit risk assessment Fuel decision-making by driving the standardization and automation of processes, especially in the SME's segment Collaborate with internal stakeholders from Sales, Account Management, Compliance, and Implementation to continuously support the development of a modern and automated credit framework in line with the divisional standards and regulatory requirements Monitor and analyze risk development and define mitigation measures Advise and act as a sparring partner for product owners at Riverty during product development and innovationsWhat will help you to succeed in the role?
2+ years of relevant work experience in Credit/Risk management, preferred merchant onboarding, and underwriting expertise ideally gained in a fintech, banking, or PSP environment Good knowledge of payment & banking regulations, financial products, and services Affinity with agile project management tools is a plus Eagerness to learn, high accuracy, and detail orientation Strong analytical and investigation skills Proactivity, self-driven mindset as well as collaborative attitude An enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality Structured way of working and delivery focus. Experienced with reducing complexity and introducing efficiency measures The ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-moving environment, having the inclination to solve problems systematically via infrastructure and automation Business knowledge of English, additional Dutch or German preferred-
