In this role you'll be instrumental in managing our school's data infrastructure, and oversee the implementation and utilisation of our management information systems software (ISAMS).

Your main objective will be to streamline data management processes, to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and security of information across various school sections, as well as supporting school leaders with timetabling and visually creative reporting.

This role reports to the Head of Technology.


The post holder must be highly attentive to detail and will enjoy handling information systems and be committed to process improvement.

They should also be a good communicator, with an affinity for working with others, including teaching staff, co-workers, and school pupils.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Oversee the school's management information systems (MIS), and able to promptly address and resolve issues as they arise
  • Support & work closely with Heads of School (and Deputy Heads) in ensuring timely set up and distribution of timetables to staff and pupils
  • Address related inquiries and support needs throughout the academic year
  • Create and conduct staff training (as needed), to provide guidance on effective use of the school's core MIS
  • Provide the Operational leadership team (OLT) with datarelated tasks and analyses when required
  • Offer analysis of examination results for School Principal, Heads of School, Supervisory Board, and other staff, and coordinate with Communications team to present data attractively
  • Support HR and Head of Technology with developing (IT) training programmes for staff
  • Participate in the development and revision of policies related to data management and protection, reporting, timetabling, and to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Support in set up and management of pupil reports; coordinating with teaching staff around organising and delivering online reports to parents & pupils
  • Support parental communication around data & information
  • Supply necessary data to school partners, as needed
  • Support & develop GDPR (AGV) compliance requirements, policies, and training, alongside the Head of Technology
  • Support the IT & Technology team, as needed
  • Support & collaborate on relevant projects with the Head of Technology
Work outside of normal school hours may be required on occasion, with due notice provided by the school e.g. parents evenings and other school events.

Some flexibility will be required to adapt to changing needs and priorities within the school, with the requirement to sometimes take on additional tasks or responsibilities.

You will be required to stay actively informed on latest trends, available technologies, best practices, and changing regulations around the use of data.


Person Specification

Experience

  • Minimum three years' work experience in a similar role
  • Experience in data management and working with/interpreting data and information systems
  • Minimum three years' experience of working in a school or education sector
  • Experience working in an international environment

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of ISAMS (MIS) or school information systems
  • Educated to Level 2 qualification or above (or similar equivalent in English/Maths)
  • Strong IT skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Good level of fluency in English
  • Well organised, proactive, and able to multitask
  • Selfmanaging, selfstarting, and confident in managing own workload
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Accountable, responsible,

Contract and benefits
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
