Role Summary:

As a Working Student at the eBay office in Amsterdam, Netherlands, you will collaborate with a team of researchers and software engineers utilizing cutting-edge technologies to address the most challenging issues in natural language processing and text mining. In partnership with the university, you'll engage in research to enhance existing models and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. As part of your role, you will extract and prepare training data, develop algorithms aimed at enhancing Large Language Models through optimization techniques, human feedback, and more.

Your requirements:

  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence or related fields with a preferred focus on natural language processing
  • Starting date in June/July 2024
  • Proficiency in designing and training machine learning models, especially Transformers and LLMs
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (fluent English, both spoken and written)
  • Experience handling complex and extensive text and web data
  • Proficiency in programming (Python/C++, bash command-line tools, docker)
