We are seeking a
Mechanical AIV / AIT Engineering to work on our Customers Site (ESA-ESTEC) in the Netherlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to get into one of the most sought-after space agencies in the world.

Main Responsibilities
As
Mechanical AIV / AIT Engineering **you will concentrate your activities on the following:

_wrt Satellite AIT tasks:
_

  • Supporting activities with respect to integration, test and launch campaigns definition, preparation and followon.

_wrt Instrument AIT assignment:
_

  • Supporting integration, alignment, thermomechanical testing, calibration and characterization of complex optomechanical systems in ambient and TVAC conditions.
  • You will work in close cooperation with Satellite Engineering, AIT/AIV and Payload Managers on Project side, providing support with respect to all AITrelated aspects, including assessment of AIT scheduleand associated risks, support to project reviews, GSE procurement, preparation and monitoring of integration, alignment and verification test campaigns in line with required AIV and AIT technical competences.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Satellite or Instrument AIT/AIV.
  • Master's degree with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience with Assembly, Integration and Test activities definition, implementation and evaluation at satellite system or subsystem levels.
  • Specific experience with complex satellite systems or specific experience with optomechanical payloads, together with associated alignment concepts and GSE, will be considered an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of satellite qualification and acceptance testing.
  • Experience with active monitoring and support to industrial AIT activities, including problems troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Availability to support missions abroad as requested by Projects.
  • Specific experience with complex satellite systems and/or alignment of optomechanical systems will be considered a strong asset.
  • Comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are needed, together with a high degree organizational and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
