About you and the role

We have an exciting opportunity in our team as an Auditor , located in Terneuzen , The Netherlands .

Dow's Corporate Audit Department consists of approximately 60 professionals located around the globe. The department has a presence in all four geographies with locations in Midland, Sao Paulo, Terneuzen, and Shanghai.

The Auditor performs audit work such as interviewing, testing, documenting, analyzing, and evaluating. Develops an understanding of the work processes being reviewed. Provides an assessment of internal controls within multiple assigned work processes across an internal business or function using organizational knowledge and experience in financial auditing.

In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding.

It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Responsible for several components of an internal business or function's audit scope Conduct interviews, performs tests, documents findings, and evaluates controls Identify gaps around internal controls and asset stewardship, and collaborates to proactively define solutions Analyze a variety of business control processes and evaluates internal controls Understand and proactively identifies potential risks Propose solutions that drive value Collaborate on department process improvement projects while building knowledge of the Company, processes, and customers Provide informal guidance to new team members Expand awareness of company strategy, understanding the key risks associated with corporate programs and initiatives Expand awareness of the macroeconomic and industry trends impacting the execution of the company's strategy

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree within Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related field. Relevant work experience within Audit and/or experience in a variety of assignments in Finance. Ability to understand a variety of business control processes and evaluate internal controls. Fluent in English

Preferred Skills

CIA, CPA, or CISA certification preferred
